Mysterious entities that hold sway over the New World. What exactly they are, why they are here, and what they want are all mysteries.

Deep Ones remotely contact Folk through their dreams, leaving them physically changed by their contact when the Folk wakes. The memory of the Deep Dream is too unstable for a mortal mind to hold, and the Folk will forget unless they forge a pact with the Deep One, becoming a Warlock.

Warlocks gain great power by forging a Pact with a Deep One, but they are now beholden to the Deep One's whims until their death... or until the Deep One abandons them.
